Qualifications

Graduated, with high honors (May, 2009) at Middlesex Community College, having earned an Associates Degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design. I have a 3.83 grade point average, am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, was chosen for the MXCC 2009 Annual Award for Academic Excellence in Graphic Design.

Formal instruction in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and Dreamweaver. I have also used QuarkXpress, MS Word, Excel, Acrobat, File Maker Pro, iPhoto, and Photofinish in various projects. I am comfortable using both MacIntosh and Windows operating systems.

Currently, employed full time at Hospital for Special Care, in New Britain, CT, where my title is HIM Release of Information Coordinator. (hired in Sept. 1985).

Scanner/retoucher for nearly four years, part-time, at Liturgical Publications, Inc., in Cromwell, Connecticut. Sadly, I found it necessary to resign from LPI in January of 2008, in order to complete my education and internship.

Graphic Design Internship with the Greater New Britain Arts Alliance under the direction of Stephen Hard, M.Div., M.A., Executive Director. Projects included outdoor signage, gallery cards, postcards, and posters, GNBAA's Ethnic Outreach Reference Guide and the Arts Alliance's artists directory.

Scanner/Retoucher in the Production/Keyline Department at Liturgical Publications, Inc., Cromwell, CT. Duties: scanning church bulletins, retouching, and preparing them for press. I also did some proofreading and collating. Applications used: Photoshop (Elements); Microsoft Word; Adobe Acrobat; and Filemaker Pro.
